We have an opportunity for an Intern to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. You will become part of an organization developing innovative flight recorders technology (also known as Black Boxes).

You will be working on Aircraft maintenance related tools that prepares configuration for Onboard Maintenance System and expert system tools for troubleshooting. We are using modern technologies, Java, React, SQL backend, part of the work involves also advanced artificial reality glasses. Result of your work will not only help to define the future of complex systems troubleshooting, but it will also help secure the safety of the air transportation in the future!

We are using Atlassian toolchain: Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo etc. You will work closely with System engineers and V&V engineers, including partnership with engineering in global locations.

This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

Key responsibilities

• Gathering requirements for assigned tasks
• Creation of the new code, no bug fixing or customization of crappy code!
• Integration with other tools and systems of the platform
• Creating Unit tests, verification and validation against requirements

Key skills and qualifications

• Student of a university with major in engineering field
• Knowledge of Java and interest in developing your skills
• Communicative level of English
• Anything of the following is a huge advantage: knowledge of the SQL or React, scripting language (Python) experience with creating Android applications, understanding software development lifecycle
