Role DescriptionAs a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of the FNZ products. Our Front-End Developers contribute to our continuous improvement by bringing fresh ideas and aiming to adopt state-of-the-art technologies. - A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a comparable title,
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience,
- Good proficiency in Javascript, with experience in plain Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CS,S and responsive design,
- Knowledge of React and Typescript,
- Knowledge of Micro Frontends,
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Karma, and Jasmine,
- Experience with implementing accessible web applications
- Knowledge of fundamentals like object-oriented programming, design patterns, and algorithms,
- Experience with Medium to large-scale standards-based web applications, conceptual design, and implementation of modern software architectures,
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as GIT, Bitbucket or equivalent tools,
- Experience in reading/writing technical requirements,
- Good communication and presentation skills,
- Fluency in English is mandatory,
- Any .NET experience is a plus.
Role Responsibilities
- Architecture design and implementation of customer-facing front-end,
- Design and build the highly intuitive user interface and interactive financial tools required by financial advisers and investors,
- Develop real-time transaction processing systems that support millions of trades every day in investment securities in multiple world markets,
- Work closely with our business analysts to design and implement new functionality for our major institutional customers around the world,
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications,
- Develop unit tests to ensure required quality gateways are met,
- Execute best practices for software development,
- Take an active role in understanding the business domain and contributing to requirements gathering,
- Research emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts,
- Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems,
- Strict adherence to agreed standards and processes specifically SDLC, etc,
- Work effectively and continue improving continue of business knowledge and programming skills Delivery of agreed outputs within agreed timeframes or the successful negotiation of new time frames,
- Actively communicating the status of assigned items of work to the project team, project manager, or Build Manager,
- Participation in team activities Actively seeking opportunities to assist peers,
- Actively identifying and promoting opportunities for application efficiency improvements or performance improvements,
- This role is in scope for activities that have an indirect impact on CASS processing that takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZs clients,
- This role has a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ.
