Job summary:The Red Hat Middleware Productization Core team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer specialized in Security to join us in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. In this role, you will help move our security initiatives forward. You will work with the Product teams, the Security team, and the team that controls the build pipeline to ensure that security fixes are applied rapidly and efficiently across a range of languages in a wide range of on-premise and cloud-based technologies. While fixing vulnerable code, you'll serve as a point of contact with the product teams and you'll coordinate with them to ensure that all fixes are applied efficiently across the portfolio. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership to a small team (2-4 people) focusing on fixing common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) in our products and developing any necessary tooling to speed up dependency tracking and manifesting. This role will give you an opportunity to gain experience with maintenance and development of a modern application system and improve your developer skills. You will be expected to continually improve the process and tooling and to make it as efficient as possible. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
