As a Barclays Java Developer, you will have an opportunity to work with Delta1 system where Barclays Equity Synthetics Contracts, client positions are evaluating both as position and swap contract level, cash and stock cash dividends are applied in an effective way. The application is used across the globe and mainly with 3 locations (London, Hong Kong and America) user support. You will be interacting, designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining scalable applications for Equities – Synthetics group globally.

• Designing and developing business and non-functional features in Java technologies
• Learning the Equity Synthetics business and regulations
• Liaising with business analysts and operations to understand the requirements
• Following well organized and tight development processes utilizing Agile/Scrum and test- driven development principles to ensure high code quality
• Using dev toolsets such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, TeamCity
• Ensuring consistent high code quality through unit and integration testing
• Taking part in technical preparations for global releases

• Significant experience in Java advanced concepts and OOP patterns
• Good experience in working on Relational databases (eg: SQL Server)
• Good knowledge of Client Server, J2EE, App Servers (eg: Jboss)
• Good understanding of technologies such as Linux, Maven, JMS, Spring, GIT

• Experience in working with a diverse team spread across the globe
• Understanding of middleware technologies, such as Solace /MQ /TIBCO RV
• Agile development (Scrum methodology) knowledge
• Web Development experience in AngularJS, Openfin
